Current Updates

Emory’s motto—the wise heart seeks knowledge—highlights that our purposes here are driven by the heart. Care and compassion are critical to our educational and service missions. These very values must guide our response to challenging situations, including our current ones.

Regarding COVID-19, as the Schwartz Center moves forward with plans for the 2020-2021 academic year, we will be responsive as conditions change. Our plan will evolve and our protocols will be adjusted as needed. Ultimately, we will work with Emory and its public health experts, relying on the best medical and scientific advice, to determine when and how it is safe and appropriate to host public gatherings.

We are currently operating under the following revised policies to protect our community and ensure the value of your purchase:

  • All advance ticket purchases will be made online or over the phone to limit in-person contact.
  • Please select Print-at-Home tickets whenever possible.  These tickets can either be printed or saved to your mobile device to show upon entry.
  • If an event is rescheduled or canceled, we will offer the choice of exchanging for another event, crediting your account for future use, donating the purchase price to support the programs of the Schwartz Center, or receiving a refund.
  • If you feel COVID-19 conditions make it unsafe to attend an event, contact the box office beginning 30 days prior to your event to explore available options.
  • The Schwartz Center intends to stream live events whenever possible as an option for ticket holders.
  • In preparation for when it is appropriate to host public gatherings, and in conjunction with Emory’s protocols, the Schwartz Center is developing its plans for public safety at events. We look forward to updating you soon.
